As we begin this year with prayer and fasting, we do so anchored in God’s promise: “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (Jer. 29:13).

Fasting is not about earning God’s attention, but about removing distractions so our hearts are fully turned toward Him.

At the start of a new year we choose to seek God first—not halfway, not casually, but wholeheartedly.
